EMGirls Vancouver X Beyond Business
EMGirls partnered with Beyond Business, with sponsorship from Kahoot, to deliver an impactful and engaging experience that highlighted the importance of advocating for gender equity in the business sector. Through this collaboration, EMGirls hosted an insightful workshop that explored the significant gender gap in the industry and provided practical ways individuals can contribute to bridging this divide. The workshop, supported by Kahoot’s interactive platform, encouraged discussions on advocacy, inclusion, and tangible steps toward creating a more equitable professional landscape.
In addition to the workshop, EMGirls organized an expo fair that brought together a diverse group of non-profit organizations and small businesses, offering attendees the chance to learn about their missions, network with like-minded individuals, and explore opportunities for involvement. To make the event more interactive, they introduced a stamp card initiative—participants who visited each organization received a stamp, and those who completed their cards were entered into a raffle for a $50 value gift basket. This incentive not only increased engagement but also ensured that attendees fully immersed themselves in the wealth of knowledge and resources available at the fair.
Through this collaboration, Beyond Business and EMGirls successfully created a platform that not only educated but also empowered individuals to take action toward gender equity in the business world. By combining advocacy, networking, and hands-on engagement, the event fostered a sense of community and inspired meaningful change.
